abstract = "ABSTRACT: the radiation balance is an important component of the
energy balance and has great relevance in studies of irrigated
areas and hydrographic basins. Having as objective the estimate of
the balance of radiation through multispectral images of satellite
from thematic Mapper TM Landsat 5 using algorithm SEBAL. The
calculations had been carried through for day 11/06/1990 and the
results had been gotten with the tool model maker from software
ERDAS Imagine It imagines where it is led in consideration in the
study area which we can quantify the vegetal covering of
instantaneous form with it I compute of the indices of vegetation
and the capacity of available energy of the analyzed targets. The
gotten average values of the temperature of the surface had been
around 18ēc and the values of Albedo and the balance of radiation
had been around 14% and 311w/m ˛ respectively. In the study it was
verified that the use of the technique if shows sufficiently
efficient for the region for possessing surfaces for the
irrigation of which they possess a bigger capacity of energy
storage as: mirrors of water and native forests. Where in the
targets that they possess vegetation of sugar cane-of-sugar was
verified a variation of Albedo between 17% and 24% having varied
in accordance with the development of the canopy in the study
region.",
